With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last.  The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.  And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, heard his cry and saw how he died, he said, “Surely this man was the Son of God!”  Mark 15:37-39

Text Box: On April 1st, Maundy Thursday, Third Church will hold our traditional service, "The Office of the Tenebrae” (darkness) at 7:30 p.m.  In this solemn worship service seven lighted candles are extinguished one by one, symbolizing the desertion of Jesus to face the cross alone.  When the service is over, there is a profound darkness and the congregation leaves in silence and semi-darkness.  Everyone is invited to experience this spiritually powerful service.
Text Box: On April 4th, Easter morning, everyone is invited to our Sunrise Worship Service in the Miner Street Cemetery beginning at 6:30 a.m., weather permitting.  Each year worshippers have experienced something new and special as we reflect on the very core of our Faith.
Following the Sunrise service, please join us for a Full Easter Breakfast.  This year, the Deacons will prepare and serve a full breakfast including scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, toast, Text Box: juice and coffee.
Also on Easter morning, at 10:00 a.m., all are invited to attend our Family Easter Worship Service.  Since there will be no Sunday School classes, children are invited to join their families for this worship service.
